"Making plants work for people"

What happened to open plan

Younger workers think open plan offices are un-cool, according to a recent survey.  The survey advised that open plan offices worked really well for people who are able to concentrate, were not interruption prone and were not uncomfortable when their personal space was limited.  The survey advised that 42% of office workers aged 19 to 24 believed the design infringed upon their privacy; this was also true of people earning $20,000 to $30,000 with 40% agreeing.  Most companies established that the open plan design would eradicate wars over closed office positions and management hierarchy.  The design however was to encourage teamwork and save on costs.  The survey showed that open plan was acceptable to 79% of males and 72% of females.  The use of interior plants added benefit was more appealing as well as contributing to a healthier environment in the office.  We must remember that the younger worker is the worker of tomorrow and their opinions are important to growth oriented progressive companies.
