"EXTRACTOR TURBINES"
  •     EXTRACTOR TURBINES
  •      Six of these turbines are being developed in Melbourne for CH2.
  •      They will usually generate power during the day (when most of the wind blows), feed this into the grid and extract used air from the offices at night in order to aid the night purge on still nights when the air temperature is below the temperature of the ceilings. When the air is still too hot we have to use the co-gen gas turbine generator to feed the grid and with its excess heat cool air via an absorption chiller which will be pushed through the offices giving an artificial night purge.

  • Indoor Plants
  • “2 credit are awarded where indoor plant species known for their ability to improve indoor air quality are installed in fixed planters.
  • The minimum density of plants shall be one medium (>1m tall) or 3 small (<1m tall) per 10 square metres of net lettable (NLA). A maintenance/landscaping contract must be in place (minimum 2yrs) to ensure that the health of the plants in maintained.”
