50% of the façade only is permitted (permitted to do what?) under CH2’s energy saving programme. As the air demands increase towards the top of the building – and as daylight levels fall off on this city site from top down to the street level – it becomes reasonable to decrease window widths vertically and correspondingly, increase duct widths vertically. The above light level simulations taken at levels 2, 5 and 8 show this should even out at each floor.
The simulations also show the unexpected amount of reflected light and heat entering through the southern windows.
